Bela Shah is a freelance broadcast journalist and presenter currently working for Channel 5, PLP and BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra. Bela has previously worked at BBC Sport, BBC Radio 2, Heart Four Counties, talkSPORT, Sunrise TV and BBC Asian Network.
Bela's impressive presenting experience ranges from news anchor at Channel 5 to presenting the Newsbeat programme and breakfast bulletins on BBC Radio 1. She has also presented Sport Today on BBC World Service, news and sport programmes on BBC Asian Network, Facebook Live broadcasts for BBC News Channel, a rolling news programme on LBC and co-presented on talkSPORT.
Bela hasn't always been a journalist; after graduating with an LLB (Hons) Law degree she went on to train as a solicitor in the ITV legal department and worked as a media lawyer for both ITV and the Discovery Channel.
Bela always wanted to work in media and decided to make the career change by going back to university to study Broadcast Journalism at the London College of Communication in 2011 and has quite simply never looked back.
A keen writer and blogger, Bela's hobbies are food, fitness, football, fashion and travel.
