Increase Brand Awareness

The What University? & What Career? Live events are aimed at 15-19 year old school leavers, teachers, careers advisors and their parents investigating post-school options including apprenticeships, part/full-time work, internships, school leaver programmes, gap year opportunities and undergraduate courses – all under one roof.

What University?  & What Career? Live

The events are hosted at the NEC, Birmingham, Olympia London and virtually, ensuring that school groups from across the UK can access essential information about the wide range of options. Our in-house Schools Liaison team has built relationships with teachers and careers advisors around the country and regularly engage with them to encourage school groups to attend.

Our research has indicated that parents are becoming increasingly involved in career decisions. Their views have a big impact on career choices. Holding the event on both a Friday and Saturday allows parents to attend and gather information from the parent zones and parent advice seminars.

Access for all – virtual event

The What University? & What Career? Live – Access for All Virtual Event took place on 21 – 26 March 2023.

This dedicated diversity and social mobility event inspired talented students from all backgrounds to achieve their full potential.

This comprehensive one-day event will feature live seminars, on-demand presentations, workshops, chat rooms, one-to-one guidance and information to break down barriers.

On the live day students were able to watch a wide range of presentations and panel sessions covering topics such as women in STEM, diversity in leadership and much more. Visitors also took part in advice-led chatrooms that were facilitated by participating organisations ranging from universities to employers and support charities.

The event was a success visitors and exhibitors alike fed back that giving students access to information and advice on topics they rarely have access to was invaluable.
