How do I book?
You can book here.
Please pick a two-hour time slot to attend. We have a limit of 200 students per school per time slot but feel free to book multiple time slots if you would like to bring a large group.
Further information will be sent to you as the exhibition approaches about how to register the members of your group.
How do I get my group members’ eBadges?
Each group member will need to have an eBadge ticket for the event. If you have already booked, you will receive information and a link for your students and staff to register themselves. Please get in touch if you haven’t received this.
Who is it for?
The event is aimed at students in years 10-13, teachers, careers advisors, and parents/guardians.
My students are in year 7/8/9, can they come?
We have found the event to be most beneficial for students aged 15 and up. Much of the information students in younger years would receive is likely to change by the time they would be ready to take up an apprenticeship or university course.
Can my students attend without staff?
Yes! Any students wishing to attend individually can register themselves, and any family or friends, through this link.
How can I update the details of my booking?
In your booking confirmation email there is a link to update your registration details. If you are having trouble finding this link please email SchoolLiaison@vmgl.com
Do you offer a travel subsidy?
We offer a subsidy of £200 to schools from outside Merseyside. To meet the requirements, you must bring over 40 people in your group (including staff). Subsidies are limited and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. A cheque will be sent out after you have attended.
To see the full T&C’s and apply for the subsidy please use this link.
When should my school group arrive?
Please aim to arrive at the venue 20 minutes before your pre-booked timeslot begins.
How will this benefit my students?
This event meets Gatsby Benchmarks 5 and 7 in just one day, makes for a great feature in a CEIAG programme.
Students can get a real sense of all the different options they have after school with a mix of apprenticeships, university and college education opportunities on offer.
School leavers have the chance to talk directly to exhibitors and learn what it’s like to work or study with them and what the application process involves.
The Careers Advice Lounge allows school leavers to get advice one-to-one from an impartial careers advisor.
Talks from professionals let students gain an insight into what it’s like going to university, doing an apprenticeship, working in specific industries, application advice, and much more.
Interactive parts of the show like the STEM Challenge and Creative Hub encourage school leavers to practice their skills and think about their future.
Can my students buy food at the event?
There will be a cafe at the event but this is often busy, so we recommend school groups bring a packed lunch.
